Who we are
Creative Bracket is an AI consulting agency offering web design and development, software development and courses. In this policy “we” means Creative Bracket Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11177168), whose registered office is 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
We are the data controller for personal data collected through creativebracket.com. Questions about this policy go to hello@creativebracket.com.
Our blog is hosted by Hashnode at creativebracket.hashnode.dev. Old article links on creativebracket.com, such as /my-post or /tag/flutter, redirect there automatically. Once you're on the blog you're on Hashnode's site, which runs its own cookies, analytics and newsletter sign-ups. That site is covered by Hashnode's privacy policy, not this one.
The question box
At the bottom of the homepage you can type what you're trying to solve. To suggest a first step, we send your words to an AI model. Here's the whole path:
- 1 · Your browserYou type a questionUp to 240 characters. No name or email needed.
- 2 · Our serverVercel functionAdds our instructions and forwards it. Nothing is written to a database.
- 3 · DeepInfraDeepSeek V4 FlashHeld in memory to write the reply, then deleted. Not used for training.
- 4 · Back to youReply on screenShown once. Reload the page and it's gone.
Stored by us at any step: nothing.
What we use and for how long
- Your question. Passed through and not stored. Our error logs record only that a request failed, never what you wrote.
- Your IP address. Held in the server's memory for up to 24 hours to limit each visitor to 5 questions a minute and 20 a day, which stops abuse of the AI service. It is never written to disk and is cleared when the server restarts.
Please don't put sensitive personal details, passwords or confidential business information in the box. If you'd rather talk to a person, the reply includes a button that opens an email to us with your question filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send in your own email app.
When you email us
If you write to hello@creativebracket.com we receive your name, email address and whatever you include. We use it to reply, to discuss and deliver work you ask for, and to keep a record of what was agreed.
We keep your emails only as long as we need them to reply, to work with you, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Our email is handled by Google Workspace.
We won't add you to a mailing list or pass your details to anyone for marketing.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel's platform processes the technical details of each request so it can deliver the page and protect the service: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. Vercel keeps these request logs for a short period under its own policy. We don't add our own analytics on top.
To stop automated scripts running up the cost of the question box, Vercel's bot protection (BotID) runs an invisible check in your browser when you ask a question. Vercel uses the result only to tell a person from a bot.
Our domain's DNS is run by Cloudflare. It answers lookups for creativebracket.com, but your traffic to the site doesn't pass through Cloudflare.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. Fonts are bundled with the site, so loading a page makes no request to Google or any other font service. That's why there's no cookie banner.
If we ever add analytics or anything that needs cookies, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who else is involved
These companies process data for us. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.
| Provider | What they do | Data | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Hosts the site and runs the question function | Request logs, your question in transit | USA, global edge |
| DeepInfra Inc. | Runs the AI model that drafts replies | Your question text only | USA |
| Cloudflare Inc. | DNS for our domain | DNS lookups | Global |
| Google LLC (Workspace) | Our email inbox | Emails you send us | USA and global |
Where data goes outside the UK, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the provider's standard contractual clauses.
Why we're allowed to
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 we rely on:
- Legitimate interests for answering questions in the box and by email, and for rate limiting and security logs. Answering people who contact us, and keeping the site safe, are reasonable things to do and have little impact on you.
- Contract when you become a client or buy a course.
- Legal obligation for keeping financial records.
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. The AI reply is a suggestion for you to read, not a decision.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Email hello@creativebracket.com and we'll respond within one month. Questions typed into the box can't be retrieved, because we never stored them.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted here for at least 30 days.
